We are happy to announce the 10th Annual SFSU Human Rights Summit on Economic and Social Justice, which will take place on April 23rd, 25th, and 26th in Jack Adams Hall on the campus of San Francisco State University.
The 10th Human rights Summit will cover topics on economic and social justice as universal human rights. By focusing on themes such as student loan debt, economic sanctions, social and cultural rights, environmental justice, and the Prison Industrial Complex, to name a few, we hope to raise a critical consciousness on our campus around these issues and how they affect all of us in our everyday lives.
The 10th Human Rights Summit will host a number of invigorating speakers and discussants, as well as performances, student panels, poster presentations, and a film festival. Our goal Is to imagine a world in which everyone learns about these rights, and accepts the personal responsibility to advocate for and defend them on behalf of oneself and one's community. We hope to expand the framework of Human Rights Education to include intersecting colleges and programs throughout our campus and in the Greater Bay Are. So please let us know if you are interested in submitting proposals for this exciting event.
